A Fresh New Day
Okay, so you’ve done a lot of work since this Bible Plan started. You’ve learned how sin can be tricky, making you think you’ll end up happy, but it leads to a disgusting dead end.
You’ve also learned that when you find yourself stuck in a sinful pattern, you can turn around and head back to God immediately for forgiveness. Not only that, but you can find a lifetime of healing by making a habit of talking with someone about your struggles and asking them for prayer and accountability.
Sheesh! That’s a lot of great stuff! But this Bible Plan isn’t over yet. There’s more!
Watch this video for some fantastic ideas about how to create healthy habits that keep your heart fresh each and every day.
You can do this! And remember, it’s not about rules to follow. It’s about creating a healthy way of living and deepening your relationship with Jesus. Only God can show you what is truly right, so you’ll need to partner with Him.
Freshen up your habits and allow God to show you where you might need to set a new standard.
Ask yourself: What do you think is missing from your daily routine? Some physical activity, some time reading your Bible, some time in prayer, something else? Is there something you might need to remove from your daily routine? Deleting an app, spending less time with someone who’s leading you away from God, turning off a particular show, something else?
Challenge yourself: Grab a piece of paper and something to write with. Jot down all the things you think would be healthy for you to do each day. Now, organize them a bit. Write them in order of how you might accomplish them each day. Be sure to think through how you’ll fill and refresh your body, mind, and spirit each day.
Pray: God, thank You for helping me to form new patterns with You. Help me always to remember to keep You in my daily routine so I can get to know You better and love You more. In Jesus’ name, amen.
