Raising Kingdom Builders ಮಾದರಿ
3) Trusting His Plan
For the remainder of this study, we are going to be giving you practical things to teach your children about a life spent with God to hopefully allow you to raise Kingdom builders. Today, we are focusing on teaching your children how to trust God’s plan.
Chances are, you have examples from your past when you had difficulty trusting God’s plan. Maybe there was a dramatic loss of some kind you weren’t expecting, the job you thought would take you to retirement suddenly ended without warning, a family member suddenly stopped communicating with you and you found yourself asking the same question: “God, where are You in the middle of all this?”
Regardless of your children’s ages, there will be things in their lives very soon, perhaps even already, that will make them ask the same question. Children will have to decide between masking their feelings or seeking answers. But what is the answer? Remember your foundation.
Take the story of Joseph in Genesis 37-50. Joseph was sold into slavery by his brothers, was tempted by Potiphar’s wife, was thrown in jail after a false accusation and didn’t get out of jail when he should have. If Joseph were anything like us, he’d probably have been asking that key question: “God, where are you in the middle of all this?” Joseph’s foundation of faith in God, though, allowed him to remember all God had done.
The truth is, the devil is able to shake the faith of those who don’t have it built on a solid foundation. Keep bringing your children back to the importance of rooting their lives in faith in Christ so that when the waves and wind of life come against them, they will be able to stand firm in their faith and trust God’s plan!
About this Plan
There is a difference between simply raising your children, and raising your children to be kingdom builders. This 7-day plan is geared toward parents who desire to see their children build the Kingdom of God.
