Real Hope for Troubled Times

Because of God’s love, his words have a special application to the challenging moments of our lives. His words alone give us the hope we need at such times. God’s life-changing word overflows with his promises of real love, forgiveness, salvation, peace, hope, and joy for everyone who trusts in his Son Jesus.

The passages in this plan describe these present and eternal blessings. They’re a reminder of the real love, tremendous assurance, and ultimate value that believers have through faith in Jesus.

The purpose of God’s saving, life-changing message—so plainly revealed in John’s account of Jesus’s ministry (as detailed in the book of John)—is clear: “These miracles have been written so that you will believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and so that believing you may have life in him (John 20:31).”

The Apostle John introduces us to Jesus personally, painting a vivid picture of Jesus as God and with God. Through the good news according to the Apostle John, he reveals who Jesus is and what you can be certain of by believing in him.

Believing this really good news provides you with real hope in this troubled and complex world. As Jesus says, “I’ve told you this so that my peace will be with you. In the world you’ll have trouble. But cheer up! I have overcome the world (John 16:33).”
