KNOWING THAT YOU DON’T KNOW
I can best describe myself as a creative entrepreneur—a creative person who runs a business to demystify it.
It’s funny that when it comes to the creative process I have no trouble accepting the chaos and confusion that goes with the territory. But on the business side, I seem to crave for certainty. I need to see it before I can stop being anxious. The contract needs to be signed and in my hand. The money needs to be seen in the account.
And yet I have had to learn from Mark 4:27, that when the sower goes out to sow.... how the seed grows...he “does not know”. That’s one part of it. But It gets tougher.
In Ecclesiastes 11:6, wise King Solomon tells us to sow in the morning and the evening because “you do not know which will succeed”. Oh boy!
My faith journey requires I have to be okay with knowing that I do not know. I have to trust. It’s tough. But it’s also rewarding and liberating. Because my job and my effort is limited to the sowing.... the outcome is entirely in God’s hands. And one thing I do know: He is good. And faithful. And kind. And generous. And trustworthy. And loving.
So in many ways, it is better this way. Because He knows. And He knows best.

About this Plan
One of the things that stays constant in all seasons of life is knowing or wanting to know that we’re not alone in our life experiences. There’s someone else going through something similar or some version of it, so you can take courage. You may even be the somebody a hurting person needs.
