Living in Motionಮಾದರಿ
Have you ever felt like you have too many flaws? Have you ever thought, "How could God use me? I'm so messed up!"
God has a big plan for your life, and He's planned for you to have a strong character; just like we read yesterday.
God has chosen you for such a time as today! Not because of the confidence you have, but because of the character He's put in you and created you to have.
You might look at other people and see them as calm, collected, and in control; yet when we look to heroes of the faith in the Bible, we begin to realize that they’re more like us than we know.
Take Moses for example—the guy who parted the Red Sea and led an entire nation of Israelites out of Egypt.
There was a stage in his life where Moses was afraid that he had too many flaws to be used by God.
Let's take a look at each excuse Moses had and God's answer back:
Moses said, "Who am I!" God says, "I am with you."
We aren't meant to go into battles on our own, and never in our own strength or competence. We get God's competence—which is pretty powerful. He says He will always be beside us, no matter the situation. And if we're afraid that we can't handle it, God sure can.
Moses said, "What if they...", God says, "Don't be led by fear."
In Proverbs, it says, “The fear of man will trap us, but those who trust the Lord will be kept safe.” Moses was afraid of what the Egyptian army would do to Him if he tried to help the Israelites. Instead of focusing on what bad things can happen, God wants us to lift our eyes to see what good will come by stepping out in faith. We can change lives for eternity! That seems bigger than our fears, right?
Moses said, "I have never ..." God says, "No one ever has."
If He's asked you to do it, He's got you. He has a specific plan and purpose for you. No one can live your life for you, and no one can take the steps of faith for you either. Only Peter could step out of the boat and walk toward Jesus on the water.
Moses said, "Can someone else?" God says, "I have chosen you!"
Even Moses had moments of doubt in what God was calling him to. It's time to trust in God's word and his promises. If he's called us to it, there's a reason for it!
Eventually, Moses' response changed—and it's one we need to start saying: "Here I am, Lord."
About this Plan
We seem to keep revisiting problems in life or situations one way or another; and it can get frustrating if you don't realize that's how life is meant to be experienced. Life is more like a game of monopoly; you've got to keep going! Keep building up in every season to make the next one better; that's how God intended it. Every day matters.
