The Beauty of Restorationಮಾದರಿ
Hurt and broken but Restored
Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.
Psalm 51:12
This is a beautiful psalm. David a broken man, a wretched king, wrote a prayer of repentance after he had committed adultery with Bathsheba.
David came before God in brokenness. He began his prayer by acknowledging God’s marvelous attributes; ‘His mercies, His compassion’. David saw his transgressions and the sins that he had committed.
No further arguments, no lame excuses, David, knew by his very nature that he was a sinner and that he sinned against the Holy One. David knew that sin had destroyed him, so he prayed, ‘Create’! He called onto his Maker to restore his salvation. For God alone can do that!
Sin takes away the joy in the Lord.
Do you not have a prayer to offer to God?
Are you bound by sin?
Psalm 51 is what you need to read.
Remember this, no one but God alone can restore and make this broken vessel whole. He will cleanse you. God can do this miracle in your life.
Have you gone too far from God?
Are you ready to come back?
Are you hurt and broken?
We can’t express this ‘joy’ in words. It is deeply experienced by each individual when God restores the joy of your salvation. Friends, His amazing grace and His tender mercies are new and more. Come back to Him!
Say this prayer in faith,
Dear Father,
I have sinned against You, I’m broken, but You can make me whole. Restore to me the joy of Your salvation. In Jesus name’. Amen.
Take away:
No one but God alone can restore and make this broken vessel whole.
