Book of Lukeಮಾದರಿ
JUST BELIEVE!
For no word from God will ever fail. (Luke 1:37).
The births of two great figures in the New Testament, John the Baptist and the Lord Jesus, were not normal births. Why? Because their births were impossibilities. John the Baptist was born by a barren and aged woman. The Lord Jesus was born by a virgin. The news of their births were not from a medical examination or the media, but from heaven, through an angel of God.
There are positive and negative reactions toward their births. The first one did not believe and the other just surrendered to the will of God. Zechariah, the father of John the Baptist, could not accept the good news about the birth of his son. When the angel told him the news, he asked, “How can I be sure of this? I am an old man and my wife is well along in years.” (Luke 1:8). On the other hand, when Mary, the mother of Jesus, heard she was going to be pregnant with the Saviour, she also asked how this could be possible since she was a virgin. The angel explained and Mary believed him. (Luke 1:38)
In our life, we often pray to the Lord to answer our prayers and requests. The problem is, when God answers our prayers, will we believe that this is God’s will for us? We need humility to acknowledge God’s sovereignty over our lives. If Zechariah had been humble, maybe he wouldn’t have become mute. God reigns, and He can do more than we ask or pray for. If we want to experience God’s miracles, we have to allow God to do it.
What makes miracles happen is our full FAITH in CHRIST.
