Did Jehoshaphat understand what God was doing when He commanded that the choir march first into battle? Did the widow at Zerapath understand what God was doing when Elijah demanded her last meal?

Did Paul understand what God was doing when He left him in jail for years on end? Did Mary and Martha understand what God was doing when Lazarus died? Did the servants understand what Jesus was doing when He commanded them to fill six water pots with water? What of the martyred legions of Hebrews 11? Did they understand what God was doing when they were flogged, imprisoned, stoned, sawn in two, and put to death by the sword?

Do you understand what God is doing right now in your circumstances? In seeking to understand, we are missing the very heart of the Christian faith. It’s not about complete understanding; it’s about trust!
