How Jesus Handled Crisisಮಾದರಿ
When Jesus knew that he was about to be persecuted, he didn’t turn to his friends or to the people around him. He got on his knees and prayed passionately to the Father. He prayed so passionately and fervently that he began to sweat drops of blood. God wants to talk with us and the conversation goes both ways. We should desire to have an intimate and ongoing dialogue with God every day that includes the big, important questions in life, as well as the small, seemingly insignificant matters that concern us. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. spent time in prayer, asking God what he was supposed to say, right before his famous speech during the Civil Rights movement in the 1960’s. That speech was a defining moment in history which God inspired as a result of personal prayer. We should not underestimate the power of passionate prayer in our lives.
Questions:
- What are the things you have been praying passionately for in this season? If you aren’t sure where to begin in your prayer life or need a reset, start by making a list of the areas you want God to work within you, as well as the circumstances, the people, or the dreams you want to surrender to Him.
- There is power when we remind God of His Word in our prayer lives, which is His promise to us. Choose 2-3 scriptures to write out this week and watch Him work in your midst.
