Better Than Ever

DAY 2 OF 5

ENDURANCE

I don’t know if you’ve ever had to train for a sport or a P.E. class or anything, but if so then you’ve experienced a pretty universal truth of physical development: you have to break things down so they can rebuild and grow. Your muscles, your cardio-vascular system…you have to apply pressure to them, break down those muscles, really push them to the limits in order to have growth or increased strength and endurance. That’s what helps you push through a heavy workout or grueling run…knowing that once you’ve recovered, you’ll be bigger, stronger, faster, and better.

What’s fascinating is that God didn’t just design our physical bodies with this kind of system in place…it applies to our hearts, minds, and souls as well. When we endure emotional trials, when our hearts get broken, when we live through a really, really hard season, we recover and become stronger. And the strength we gain is even more valuable than a faster mile time or bigger biceps…we get stronger faith, a closer relationship with God, and the ability to trust him even more than we already did.

Unfortunately, some of those trials we face are actually more painful than even the hardest workout. But the strengthened faith we receive at the end is that much more powerful. So, as you walk through this season and look forward to when things get back to normal, don’t overlook what God is doing in you right now. How is he trying to draw you closer to him? What is he trying to teach you? How does he want your faith to grow during this season? Lean into him and let him grow you through this trial.

About this Plan

Better Than Ever

We are facing the most difficult season our generation has ever experienced, and by now I’m sure you’re beyond over it. Maybe you feel like your spiraling or falling apart. Believe me, I get it. But, is it possible that God has something better in mind as a result of this pandemic? Is it possible he has a plan to have you return to normal life better than ever?
