New Life In Christಮಾದರಿ
Day Seven
A Turning Point
Scripture: Isaiah 9:2; Matthew 7:13–14; 1 John 1:7
After Nicodemus met with Jesus, he found himself standing at the turning point of his life. He had been traveling the broad path headed for destruction that Jesus described in Matthew 7. He had to choose to travel a new path, the road headed toward life. He had to enter by faith the narrow path prepared and paved by the Father. It would be the most important decision he could ever make.
If you are born again, can you remember standing at this same intersection of your life? Can you recollect being confronted with this same choice? Do you recall how you had been traveling the broad path?
I have witnessed many people being born again by God’s grace. Many, in the eyes of others, would have been considered the least likely to be saved. Most were like Nicodemus, who had all the outward indications of spiritual status but was devoid of the inward reality. It may be that you are presently standing where Nicodemus once stood. Perhaps you have not yet believed in Jesus Christ. If that is true, this is an important moment for you.
This is a time when the Spirit of God can work in your soul. Perhaps He has convicted you that you are on the wrong path, headed in the wrong direction. If this is where you find yourself, seek the Lord while He may be found. Call upon Him while He is near. I urge you to commit your life to Jesus. He is the Son of God, the One sent by the Father into this world to save perishing sinners. Turn your heart to Him. Believe in Him, and you will be saved.
May this experience of Nicodemus be the reality of your life. Though your personal circumstances will be entirely different, I pray that you know what it is to be born again. May you be birthed into the kingdom of God. May you believe in Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord. Then you will have experienced the most powerful work of God anyone could ever know.
Where are you on your spiritual road? Are you traveling a broad path that leads to destruction, on a narrow path of life, or standing at a crossroads?
