Epic (Part 4): The Storyline Of The Bibleಮಾದರಿ
The attention Peter and John are getting from the people also attracts the attention of the religious leaders. Persecution of the new church now begins. The leaders are surprised when Peter and John are not intimidated by their authority and superior educations, but Peter and John are relying on God’s power and don’t need to be fearful. The persecution also causes the church to draw even closer together. They begin helping each other in self-sacrificing ways.
Our faith in God should lead to a lack of fear. We can boldly stand up to those who may seem to have superior power or intellect. We can also take the risk of being generous because we know God will care for us in the future.

About this Plan
This is final part of a four part plan to read the books of the Bible that tell of the historical events. Although the Bible contains many stories, it is one epic story of God’s interactions with humanity. One day per week can be used to catch up on missed readings or for reflection. Notes are also included to assist with understanding.
