LIVE FOR MONEY?
Solomon was the richest king in biblical history, perhaps even throughout the history of the world. But he himself wrote that everything, including his wealth, is futile. He had a lot of money and great income. Solomon built for himself houses and gardens and collected gold and silver. In the end he said it was better to be a poor young man who was wise than an old rich, but stupid king who did not want to be warned again.
When man is born he does not bring anything with him and neither does he take anything when he leaves this world. He gets all by working when he is alive, doesn’t he? But man is never satisfied and always keeps looking for more and forgets to enjoy what he has.
God is our Father. He wants to bless us. Blessing is not always about material things. Perhaps God does not give us infinite money, but surely He wants us to enjoy the blessings He has provided for us.
Money does not guarantee happiness at all. Many people make money, save a lot of money, but ultimately the money is used only for treatment due to fatigue work. Tragic, is it not? Money and wealth can be a tool for us, but we must also be wary because money can use us, as well.
Sometimes, we must take a position like Mary, sitting before God's feet and not doing any work. Stop from all the bustle of the world and sit before the feet of God.
