Chosen & Appointedಮಾದರಿ

One of my greatest joys comes after ordering something online. Whether it’s from Amazon, Nike, Adidas, or my all-time favorite, Hurley, I love when my order arrives. I just wish that after ordering, FedEx or UPS would knock on my door instantly, but that’s far from realistic. There is a process that my order has to go through before being sent to me. To be honest with you, I’m not a big fan of the process, but it’s part of the system of ordering, so there’s no avoiding it.
Once I place my order (one click ordering!), it goes through to someone at some huge warehouse. Then, they pick it up and place it in a bin to be sent. After that, it gets loaded on a truck and shipped. Once shipped, that package arrives at a sorting facility before being sent to my door.
In other words, there are multiple steps before an order is sent out.
I’m glad that God doesn’t have to take that many steps when sending us into a hopeless, hurting world! God speaks through the prophet Jeremiah and He lets us know that, before we were even formed in our mother’s womb, He already gave us an assignment; a mission on earth to complete. This mission is simple: we’re being sent to the all the nations of the Earth to proclaim truth, in order to set those who are captive free.
Imagine for a second what our schools, workplaces, communities, churches, states or even countries would look like if we all saw ourselves as being on assignment to bring hope and life to those in despair. Your words and your actions make all the difference. God isn’t concerned with wether or not you’re ready; make yourself available to the assignment God appointed you to before you were even born.
Today take some time to be intentional in the context that you find yourself in. God placed you there (you were SENT) with a purpose and for a reason beyond what you can imagine or comprehend.
THINK ABOUT IT: Who are some people you’ve been sent to that you know you haven’t made an effort to reach?
REFLECT: Will you take some time to talk to someone who is in need of hope today?
PRAY: Lord, today allow me to have God-moments with the people that you have sent me to.
