Does God Seem Far Away?ಮಾದರಿ
GOD MADE A PLAN
I want you to get just a glimmer of God’s heart here. From this moment forward He longed for restored fellowship with His precious creation.
This is why He spends the rest of the Old Testament bringing forth a plan to get us back. Why He gives the greatest, most precious thing He has—His only begotten Son—in order to redeem mankind. He loved His creation and wasn’t willing to give us up forever.
The heart of the Father never stopped crying out for His sons and daughters. He grieved for 4,000 years. From the moment Adam and Eve sinned, He began looking forward to the day when He could redeem His creation and that lost fellowship and communion could be restored—through the cross.
God cried out to His people to follow Him and obey Him, because He wants so much to bless them! Even though He drove Adam out of the garden, He never left him—He was always there. He never stopped taking care of mankind, even when they didn’t listen to Him.
I have stretched out My hands all day long to a rebellious people, who walk in a way that is not good, according to their own thoughts (Isaiah 65:2).
He was reaching out His hand to them, but they couldn’t respond because of their sinful nature. Light has no fellowship with darkness (see 2 Corinthians 6:14). They were completely separated from Him. Their spiritual condition denied them access to fellowship with Almighty God. He still loved them, still wanted to help them and guide them and be their all in all.
But He could not commune with them—He couldn’t reach them. For the most part, they didn’t understand or even know He was there. He was heartbroken, but He never gave up on us.
