A Living Sacrifice

DAY 1 OF 3

A Living Sacrifice.

“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.” Romans‬ ‭12:1‬ ‭KJV‬‬

According to Strong’s Concordance, the Greek word for, “Beseech” is, ‘parakaleō’ (G3870) which means, “To call to one's side, call for, summon, to address, speak to, (call to, call upon), entreaty, comfort, to admonish, exhort, to beg, entreat, to strive to appease by entreaty, to console, to encourage and strengthen by consolation, to encourage, strengthen, to instruct, to teach.” I encourage you to present your body as a continual living sacrifice, holy and acceptable unto God. I admonish you to present your body as a living sacrifice.

Let Christ set you apart. Choose to surrender your body to Christ. Make the choice to yield your body to Him. Yield your members to the One who formed you. Yield your thoughts over to Him. Yield your ways over to Him. Yield your heart over to Him.

Romans‬ ‭12:1‬ ‭AMPC‬‬ declares, “I APPEAL to you therefore, brethren, and beg of you in view of [all] the mercies of God, to make a decisive dedication of your bodies [presenting all your members and faculties] as a living sacrifice, holy (devoted, consecrated) and well pleasing to God, which is your reasonable (rational, intelligent) service and spiritual worship.” Make the decision to dedicate your body as a surrendered sacrifice. Surrender every part of your body over to Him. Let your private life worship God. Let your public life worship Christ. Let every area of your life surrender to Him.

“And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him.” Romans‬ ‭12:1‬ ‭NLT‬‬
