DAY 2 OF 3

Harden Not Your Heart

“Harden not your heart, as in the provocation, and as in the day of temptation in the wilderness.” (Psalm‬ ‭95:8‬ ‭KJV‬‬)

Choose to hear God’s Word. Let God’s Word soften the ground of your heart. Surrender to His Word and let Christ heal every area of your life. Psalm ‭95:8‬ ‭(KJV)‬‬ declares, “Harden not your heart, as in the provocation, and as in the day of temptation in the wilderness:”

When you’re in the wilderness, let not your heart become hardened. When you’re in a desert, let not your heart grow bitter. When you’re in a difficult and thorny place, let not your heart become entangled in the bondage of the situation—choose to trust God. Choose to let God’s Word free you. His Word will deliver you. Let not your heart be troubled. Choose to surrender to Christ.

Galatians‬ ‭5:1‬ ‭(KJV)‬‬ declares, “Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.” Don’t let your heart become entangled in the bondage of the world.

Choose to surrender to Christ. Choose to hear and declare His Word. Choose to diligently obey and submit to God’s way of doing things. Stay focused. Stay active. Be attentive.

Heart hardening is a process. Your heart does not grow bitter overnight. If you allow the weight of the world to entangle your heart—your heart will begin to wither and grow cold.

Don’t allow the cares and weight of the world to entangle the ground of your heart. Surrender your heart to Christ. Don’t let your heart wither and grow cold. Surrender to God. He holds your heart in His hands. He longs to commune with you.

Action:

Prayer is critical to your spiritual growth and development. Choose to set a consistent prayer time and commune with God the Father regularly. Let His Word strengthen you.
