[Bible Trek Luke] God Sees What Is in Your Heartಮಾದರಿ
Your Heart is Important
"He who is faithful in a very little thing is also faithful in much, and he who is dishonest in a very little thing is also dishonest in much." Luke 16:10
What is your heart's intention in doing things? Are you honest and showing integrity in your life? Are you reliable?
Read the Bible
A person needs to be reliable even in the small things of his life. In everyday, simple things, you can actually see what your attitude is about what you are doing, and that really shows what is in your heart.
Do you organize your room, your clothes, toys, and books daily? Do you wait until the last moment to fulfill your responsibilities or do you avoid them? Do you offer to help your parents at home in different tasks, even when it is not your job to do so? That's what Jesus is talking about; are you faithful in the little things?
Think about it
How are you with your homework? What God expects is that you be honest and do your homework—not that your parents do it for you, nor that you copy it from another student when you arrive at school.
How honest are you in your grades? Do you prepare thoroughly for exams? With these activities, you are learning to be faithful in the little things in your life. Later you will find situations where you must decide on bigger things, and what you have built in these first years will be seen in those opportunities.
Do something about it
It is time to identify in your life if you are honest before men and before God. What does your heart tell you? If you have failed in this, it is time to ask God for wisdom to change, as you make the decision in your heart to do so. Start being reliable in the little things, then you can be reliable in the big things.
Talk to God
“God, help me to be faithful daily in little things, to be a good steward of the greatest things in life.”
Scripture
About this Plan
Welcome to the third devotional of this exciting trek through Luke! For the next seven days, we’ll walk alongside a follower of Jesus, Luke. Jesus taught that God’s kingdom is both in us and in the work God does through us. Every time we talk to God, worship God, tell others about God, and serve people around us to show God’s love, we are making the kingdom of God grow!
