Walk in Faith

DAY 5 OF 5

I WILL TRY IT LATER

In 1958, the first American commercial flight was started on a Boeing 707. A month after the first flight, one of the passengers who took that flight (which was powered by a Piston DC6 engine) had a conversation with another passenger. The other passenger turned out to be a Boeing engineer. The passenger asked the engineer about the new airplane. The engineer explained all kinds of tests that Boeing had done on the plane by  before its first commercial flight. He also explained all kinds of experiences with the machine, starting from the B-17 until B-52.

When the passenger asked the engineer whether he had flown the new 707 jet plane, the engineer replied, “I think I will try the plane after it has flown a few times…”.

Our enthusiasm for our faith means nothing if we are not ready to put our lives on the words that we have said.

Devotion:

Having faith means we are ready to take the steps of faith. How many chances have we missed because we are too scared to take the steps? Have faith in God and He will strengthen your heart to receive His miracles.

Faith without works is like a body with no legs – it will bring us nowhere. (Brian Houston)
