How To Survive Middle School And Beyond

DAY 5 OF 5

Remember Your Skills

Today, we’re reading the main Bible verses we’ve been studying the past four days.

Our verses from Matthew chapter 6 reminds us of the way Jesus taught us to pray. Prayer is our conversation with God. It will help us survive!

Our verse from Luke reminds us to follow Jesus’ example and get away to a quiet space and seek stillness often. It helps clear our minds, remove distractions, and focus on God.

Our verses from Matthew chapter 7 reminds us that reading and learning from the Bible gives us the solid foundation we need to build a strong life.

And finally, our verse from James reminds us that it’s good to ask God our questions. He will not get onto us for asking Him for wisdom!

To close out this Bible Plan, spend some time in stillness, reflecting on the amazing and wonderful spiritual survival skills you’ve been studying and practicing. And, reflect on the goodness of our God who lovingly, gently, and faithfully teaches us how to live the life He’s given us.

Ask yourself: Which spiritual survival skill would I like to get better at: praying, stillness with God, reading the Bible, or asking questions?

Challenge yourself: This week, talk to a parent or other mentor. Ask them to help you grow stronger in the spiritual survival skill you decided you want to grow better at.

Pray: God, thank You for helping me to learn more about You, more about myself, and more about how to keep my spirit strong enough to survive whatever life throws my way. You are always good. I trust in You. And I thank You for teaching me. In Jesus’ name, amen.
