Notorious - What Can We Learn From Jezabel?ಮಾದರಿ
Catch Me If You Can
Frank Abagnale is a man who had an unusual ability to wangle his way out of tricky situations. Gifted with criminal ingenuity, he successfully posed as a pilot, a doctor, and a prosecutor. So colorful is his story that it inspired a film starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hanks.
Abagnale conned millions of dollars by becoming an expert in check fraud. His life shows that there are some people who are able to turn adversity into profit by making shrewd moves.
Before we leave the horrible episode where Jezebel meets her end, it’s worth noting that some speculate that she adjusted her makeup and hair because she thought she might be able to seduce Jehu and so be spared. We’ve seen that she had shown great cunning in her life, setting Elijah on the run, and single-handedly creating the conspiracy that led to her husband getting control of Naboth’s vineyard. Now, perhaps she could use her skills on Jehu. She never learned.
Sooner or later, most of us come to the conclusion that we need help in life, that we don’t have the ability to come out of every situation as winners.
Frank Abagnale now earns millions of dollars training companies about check fraud. But Jezebel didn’t fare so well.
Ponder: Is there a life lesson that we really need to embrace?
