Guard Your Wordsಮಾದರಿ
There’s A Time For Everything.
“To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:” Ecclesiastes 3:1 KJV
There’s a time for everything. Discern and understand the season. Ask God for wisdom to understand when it’s time to speak and when it’s time to refrain from speaking. Ecclesiastes 3:7 KJV declares, “..There’s a time to keep silence, and a time to speak.” Seek God and ask Him for the wisdom to speak and the grace to communicate gracefully. James 1:5 KJV declares, “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.” God gives wisdom freely. It’s your choice to seek God and apply His Wisdom to your life. Wisdom is a choice. Discretion is a choice. Choosing to refrain your words is a disciplined decision.
Proverbs 26:4 NLT declares, “Don’t answer the foolish arguments of fools, or you will become as foolish as they are.” The foolish will try to pull you into a debate or argument. Choose not to engage with fools. Let your words be seasoned with love, wisdom and grace. Ephesians 4:29 KJV declares, “Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.”
About this Plan
Share this College Devotional with others as Vance K. Jackson leads readers in this wisdom-packed devotional. Before you speak, choose to weigh your words. Let the Word of God lead your heart. In moments of chaos, choose to refrain from speaking recklessly. Choose to guard your words carefully. God-ordained relationships are destroyed when you prematurely and recklessly speak. Let God soften and lead your heart as you read this message.
