When I Am Afraidಮಾದರಿ
David declares in Psalms 56:3 NLT, “But when I am afraid, I will put my trust in you.” At a time when David’s enemies, the Philistines, had seized him in Gath, he declared, “When I am afraid, I will put my trust in you.” At a moment when David was afraid, he chose to put his trust in God. David, although skilled, strong, mighty, and courageous — he chose to put his trust in God.
Don’t rely on your resources. Don’t rely on your intellect. Don’t rely on your net worth. Those things are temporal. Choose to trust in God. Choose to trust in a Savior who holds eternity in His Hands.
When you are afraid, put your reliance on the One who saves, delivers, and sets free. He is your Comforter. He is your Redeemer. He is your Waymaker. He is your Provider. He is your Counselor. He is your Strong Tower — run to Him.
Don’t let fear overtake you. Don’t let fear become your lord. Don’t let fear become your god. Choosing to put your trust in God is a deliberate decision. You have the choice to either bow to fear or bow to God.
