Love God Greatly: Words Matterಮಾದರಿ
Daniel 10 recounts the conversation between Daniel and an angel. In that conversation, the angel tells Daniel that his prayers were heard since the minute they left his mouth. Note how the angel says he was there because of Daniel’s words. He also tells him, if you read the whole chapter, that it was because of spiritual opposition that the answer to Daniel's prayer didn't arrive earlier.
The most powerful words we can say are prayers. When we pray, we draw near to the throne of grace. When we pray, God listens, and He moves. Prayer must be part of our spiritual life – it’s the way we communicate with God.
Prayer is one way to worship God. It’s how we confess our sins and present our gratitude and requests to God Almighty. But it's also, as we see in Daniel 10, the most powerful weapon we have against the schemes of the devil. Prayer has power, not because of us, but because Who receives those prayers. We should never underestimate prayer.
Some people pray only when confronted with personal problems. Others don’t pray at all. What about you? Do you pray? Do you pray only when you need something from God? Or do you pray to experience the blessing of having a relationship with your Heavenly Father?
Dear Father, I praise You for allowing us to communicate with You through prayer. Before my words leave my mouth, You know them all. Thank You for answering the prayers I make according to Your will. In Jesus’ name, amen.
