This is a retelling of the story from chapter 4 in the form of a song or poem. In a culture where books were rare, putting a story in a song would be a great way for people to remember their history and praise God in the process. We praise God in songs today as well. In effect, “Amazing Grace” tells the story of God saving people like you and me who do not deserve it.

About this Plan

This is part two of a four part plan to read the books of the Bible that tell of the historical events. Although the Bible contains many stories, it is one epic story of God’s interactions with humanity. One day per week can be used to catch up on missed readings or for reflection. Notes are also included to assist with understanding.
