From Beginning To End - Quarter 2ಮಾದರಿ
Land was usually passed from fathers to sons. Daughters were expected to marry and live on their husband’s land or, if they did not marry, were provided for by their family. Here some daughters are able to inherit land because they have no family. Obviously, our way of handling inheritances is very different today. Moses is allowed to look at the land the people are about to enter, but he cannot go into it himself. Since Moses is about to die, Joshua is given the role of Moses’ successor.
Moses has been working closely with Joshua for a very long time. When Moses is about to die, it is obvious who should succeed him. Unfortunately, many leaders fail to develop leaders to follow them. It is short-sighted for a leader to not take responsibility for the next generation. Who will lead in your family, community, company, or church after you are gone? Who will carry forward your desire to lead people in a godly way?

About this Plan
This is part two of a four-part plan to read the books of the Bible that tell of the historical events. Although the Bible contains many stories, it is one story from beginning to end of God’s interactions with humanity. One day per week can be used to catch up on missed readings or for reflection. Notes are also included to assist with understanding.
