30/30 Challenge Reading Plan

DAY 28 OF 30

God made you an original, and He has a unique plan for your life. Psalm 139:13-14 (NIV) says, “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful….” As we study His Word, we discover the truth about who God created us to be—who we are in Christ.

Philippians 3:3 says we should “put no confidence or dependence [on what we are] in the flesh.” The means we put our confidence in Jesus, in who we are in Him and who He is to us.

David is a great example of a person who was able to live out God’s plan because of the confidence he put in Him. In 1 Samuel 17, the entire army of Israel was too frightened to fight the giant Goliath. But David wasn’t. Why? Because he was looking at God and not himself. He knew that his God could do anything. As a result, he walked straight out to the battlefield and killed Goliath with a stone and a slingshot.

Like David, you can become a giant-killer when you learn who you are in Christ. You can be bold, fearless and believe God for big things when your confidence is solely in Him.

Ephesians 3:20 says that God is able to “do superabundantly, far over and above all that we [dare] ask or think [infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes, or dreams]” (AMP). He’s just waiting for you to take your eyes off of your insecurities, step out in faith and let Him do something through you that exceeds your expectations. Study His Word to find your security in Him!

Walk It Out

Are you struggling with any insecurities about who you are, what your purpose is or whether you have the ability to do what God has planned for your life? We all feel insecure from time to time. But we don’t have to live this way. Study 1 Samuel 17 and Philippians 3 to gain more insight about who you are in Christ. The Truth will set you free to be secure in God’s love as you rely on Him.

About this Plan

30/30 Challenge Reading Plan

Are you studying the Bible or just casually reading it? God doesn’t want us to just skim His Word—He wants us to meditate on it and to allow it to change us from the inside out. That’s why Joyce Meyer issued the challenge to study God’s Word for 30 minutes a day for 30 days. This 30-day reading plan consists of encouragement from Joyce that will help you develop the habit of daily scripture reading. We’re confident this study will help you engage with the Bible and discover the impact it can make on your life. Give God 30 days and see what happens!
