Till The Whole Earth Looks Like Heavenಮಾದರಿ
Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” - Matthew 19:26
It was an eerily dark and dreary day as my feet touched the tarmac in Pyongyang, North Korea. My heart was overflowing with a concoction of joyful expectation and nervous tension. This was a moment I had been dreaming for my entire life; a chance to step foot onto the most closed, isolated and persecuted nation on planet earth. After years of prayer, God had miraculously opened a door with a secret visa (which I still do not know how to explain) and a divine window of opportunity.
The verse that kept coming to my heart during our time was that “with God all things are possible.”
As we were escorted by heavily armed military soldiers across the nation for the next week, we began to watch as God’s love and light broke into every crack and crevice along the way. Not only was our every step laced with miracles and protection, but we were able to freely pray, sing and even preach the gospel in places from poor orphanages to the DMZ (Demilitarized Zone - line between North and South Korea). We saw hearts come alive and joyfully receive our message. We were even able to pass out Bibles and pray prayers of salvation!
God is looking to partner with you to carry His Kingdom and love into your own sphere of influence. Partnership requires two people working together. As we take steps forward in obedience, God gives wings to our faith, taking us places we could never arrive on our own. There is grace attached to the “yes” that you give to God, to empower you for the sake of His name being made famous in every corner of the earth.
From the song “Heart and Hands”
“There is no one too far gone
Or out of reach of your great love
You’ll never stop, you won’t give up
Until every heart is found”
Prayer:
Father, I give you my “yes” and surrender my life to the purpose of seeing your Kingdom come in my sphere of influence. Show me your heart and vision for the people in my home, at my workplace and those around me who don’t fully know you. Holy Spirit, give me one step I can take in faith this week, to share your love with those around me. Thank you for asking me to partner with you, and for your grace that empowers me to do the impossible.
