When Your Bad Meets His Goodಮಾದರಿ
DAY TWO: Change is One Decision Away
Change requires a new direction. It means moving away from unwise decisions and the situations those decisions created. Change demands your agreement to change. When you agree to wanting and needing change, you think in new ways. This new thinking then inspires new actions.
I am no stranger to change. In 2006 I felt lost and hopeless and changed my entire life. It was messy. I was still angry at God for not intervening or healing my marriage. Lying in bed one night, I yelled at God. “If You won’t heal my marriage, You can at least take away this pain!” I sensed Him telling me, “I can’t take the pain from you. You must release it to Me.” That night I realized that God required my cooperation. He wasn’t my genie in a bottle. It was up to me to change my mind. A better life would start when I chose it.
You might have awakened to the reality that playing the victim is doing you no good. Complaining is not changing anything. Stalking people on social media and comparing yourself to others are not changing anything.
Let go of the people, places, and things that no longer fit your life and calling.

About this Plan
Let’s get real: pain is part of life. There’s no escaping heartbreak, disappointment, and anxiety. What matters is how you play the cards you are dealt. Adapted from the book, "When Your Bad Meets His Good" by Kimberly Jones-Pothier, this devotional shows you how to turn your pain into purpose.
