Take Your Place!ಮಾದರಿ
Dream Another Dream
At some point in life, everyone has lost a dream. When that happens, you have to make a choice. You can either set up a camp in the land of disappointment and regret or get up and dream another dream. When you know your place in Christ, you have the supernatural strength and determination to keep going.
Christian author and motivational speaker John C. Maxwell once said, “Dreams don’t work unless you do.” To me, that means that every day you need to throw back the covers, get out of bed, put one foot in front of the other, and move on with life. It takes effort to dream another dream, but you can do it!
The phrases “Don’t be afraid” and “Fear not” appear in the Bible at least 150 times and perhaps as many as 365 times, depending upon the translation. I haven’t counted them, so I don’t know the total for sure, but you get the point. The Bible repeatedly puts forth the concept of not being afraid. That is because God doesn’t want you to be afraid. This means that you don’t have to be afraid of people, failure, or loss.
Be willing to try again. Get back on that horse and ride. Your safety net is in place. You haven’t lost your place in Christ. All His power and love are still backing you—all the resources of heaven are still available to you!
Keep your eyes on Jesus and His Word. Ephesians 1:11-12 MSG says, “It’s in Christ that we find out who we are and what we are living for. Long before we first heard of Christ and got our hopes up, he had his eye on us, had designs on us for glorious living, part of the overall purpose he is working out in everything and everyone.”
So make it a matter of prayer, and be willing to dive in when the Holy Spirit leads you. Because of your position in Christ, you are a victory going somewhere to happen. Jesus is still firmly on the throne, and you are still firmly seated there with Him in heavenly places.
