9 Keys to Walking in Christಮಾದರಿ
Key 2 – Abiding In His Word.
If you’ve ever purchased something that requires assembly like a bookcase or an entertainment center, you know that it usually comes with instructions. Now, you can either ignore the instructions, like a “friend” of mine has, or you can actually read and follow the steps of the instructions to successfully assemble the item.
Your life and walk with Christ is similar. As you begin your new life it’s as if you have a label on that says, “Assembly Required”. Christ wants you to walk in Him and His Word is the set of instructions by which He helps you put the pieces of life together.
His Word instructs you how to grow in wisdom, knowledge, and understanding, as well as understanding His purpose, will, and plan for you. He loves you so much that He gave you instructions on how to live and walk in Him!
If you want to truly walk in Christ then you need to be a person of God’s Word by abiding in and studying it for yourself. As you regularly study, you will grow in the wisdom and knowledge of Him and He’ll help you navigate life along the way!
Allow His Word to permeate your life knowing He will faithfully transform and renew you through the process. One acronym for The B.I.B.L.E. is Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth. Let me encourage you to study His instructions.
God’s Word is the most vital key to your discipleship, life, and successful walk in Him. You cannot grow in your walk with Christ without the instructions found in God’s Word!
Questions to get started with: Do I take God’s Word seriously? How often do I spend time studying and abiding in God’s Word? What do the scriptures I just read teach me about abiding in His Word? What should I do differently to more effectively abide in Christ and His Word?
