Day Seven: Meet Faith
I have a friend I’d like you to meet.
Faith, meet [insert your name here].
[Insert your name here], meet Faith.
The great thing about Faith is that she is your risk-taking friend. The one you’re not always quite so sure you can trust—but do. She always comes through. She doesn’t let down or lead wrong, even when you can’t immediately see an answer or even if it appears she’s led you into a dark alley. Give her time. She does things God’s way.
Faith believes in what your flesh can’t. She sees what your earthly eyes won’t. She knows the way even if you’ve decided, There’s no way.
To let Faith work looks like:
• Doing in humility what pride tries to negate.
• Knowing God is up to something, even during trials.
• Dwelling on the wisdom stored up through trials.
• Giving yourself a pep talk when life goes bad.
• Living adored by God.
• Extending your best to others.
• Just doing it anyway, even though . . . despite the fact . . . even when . . .
• Trusting God to change you.
• Letting God’s Word come alive.
• Speaking life, encouragement, and hope, always.
• Saying yes to God when every emotion says no.
Faith, in you, feels tired, but she puts on her running shoes anyway. Then she keeps going. She doesn’t stop. Even when you say:
“I don’t feel like it.”
“I don’t have it in me to do what God wants.”
“I don’t see any reason to believe this will happen.”
“I’m incapable. My track record stinks.”
“I don’t have enough [support, encouragement, resources, strength].”
Faith doesn’t care. She gets things done because she knows it is not up to her but up to God.
Faith has the middle name Hope. Love is her friend. Grace tags along. Together, these four are a powerhouse group. They unlimit the will of Jesus Christ working in and through you. They help your thoughts stand strong. They help you sow deep roots so you might see God’s great plans through.
God, there are no limitations for You. There is no thing that is too great for You to do. You are more than enough, and Your will is more than enough for me to rest on and trust in. In Jesus’s name. Amen.

About this Plan
Life is a battle. Sometimes thoughts of discouragement, frustration, or shame keep us from moving forward to victory. But it doesn’t have to be this way. This devotional is all about reclaiming and training your thoughts and coming alive to the mind of Christ. Fear no longer needs to cripple you. My goal, for you and for me, is this: yes, God can.
