GENERATION 31: Becoming The Bride That Changes The Worldಮಾದರಿ
Proverbs 31 mentions several key attributes of a wife of noble character—peace, intelligence, humility, selflessness, etc. But it seems that the most-mentioned quality, threaded throughout the passage, is a diligence to complete the tasks at hand. The Bride that God so uniquely describes through the pen of the wise man is one that is strong enough to push through and complete the tasks before her.
A “Bride Made Ready“ is one who understands the value in running the race marked before Her with perseverance. How many programs and movements have the Church initiated and, when hype dies down or red tape emerges, dropped from their docket? How many projects and goals have you, a member of the Body, started working on and lost the strength to complete? Even our relationship with Jesus, which is rooted in faith and held fast by a conscious effort to grow in Christ, can seem like a race impossible to finish.
We were the Joy set before Jesus, a Joy so great that He ran His race all the way to the cross and endured every second without retreating into His deity. Where is an area where you feel you’re lacking in diligence? Ask God to impart His strength, the same strength He exerted on the cross, into that area. Able to endure even the most difficult of tasks, a diligent Bride is one that won’t give up when things get hard.
