Faith Facts For Kidsಮಾದರಿ
Say this faith fact out loud: Doing good things is like exercise for your faith—it makes your faith strong and healthy!
If you had strong legs but you chose to never use them, what would happen? Your legs would get weak! Eventually, they wouldn’t even be strong enough for you to stand on them! Did you know our faith in Jesus is like that, too?
If we choose not to do the good things Jesus asks us to do (like loving one another, spending time praying, reading the Bible, or helping one another), it’s like choosing not to use our faith. When we don’t use our faith, it doesn’t get any exercise, so it gets weak. In time, our faith can die away. Exercising your faith is about keeping your spirit strong and spreading God’s love to everyone around you!
You might wonder, “If I exercise my faith more, will God love me more?” Nope! God’s love is always strong because He’s always using it. Even if your faith dies away, God still loves you with more love than you can even begin to understand. He will never love you less.
Watch the video, then use the Bible verse James 2:26 to do a God’s Word Workout. It will help you remember to keep your faith strong by exercising it.
God’s Word Workout
1. Pick your favorite exercise.
2. Each time you do the exercise, say one word from James 2:26.
3. Keep exercising until you can say the whole Bible verse without any mistakes!
Talk It Over:
What can you do today to use your faith and let it get some exercise?
What do you think it’s like to have strong faith?
What do you think it’s like to have weak faith?
