Good Ideas vs. God Ideas in Businessಮಾದರಿ

God Idea Characteristic #2: God ideas are often bigger than what you’re capable of doing on your own.

God loves to show up and show out. He wants to open doors for His children that would otherwise be shut. He wants to do exceeding abundantly above all that you could ask or even imagine, but He also wants you to rely on Him. Often times God ideas will be aligned with your passions, interests, experience, and skills, but they will often also be ideas that force you to rely on Him and work with others to do things that you simply cannot do on your own.

Think for a moment about the leadership journey of Moses with the Israelites.  When the Israelites encountered opposition in the desert, Joshua led the troops into battle while Moses, Aaron, and Hur watched from a hill nearby.  Whenever Moses held his hand up holding the rod of God, Israel prevailed, but when he let his hand down, the enemy prevailed. Naturally Moses became tired, and Aaron and Hur held up his arms until the Israelites won the battle.  In order to win that battle, it required God’s supernatural intervention with the rod and it required Aaron and Hur to work in supportive unity with Moses.  

Later on in Exodus, you read about how Moses was trying to do everything on his own, and his father-in-law Jethro told him he needed to embrace the help and advisement of others in other to be successful!

This doesn’t mean that you will never get God ideas that you can do on your own, particularly with smaller operational ideas (such as hiring, marketing, accounting, etc.) but when it comes to the broader impactful and strategic decisions, expect that God’s best will be bigger than your abilities.
