Lent Devotional: Restoreಮಾದರಿ
Restore: God is restoring youth
The market is saturated with products promising to preserve youth and youthfulness – and while some may give the illusion that this is true, the consumers are still getting old.
We attempt all we can to restore our physical appearances, but only God can restore what we have lost on the inside. Society has stolen many young people’s dreams, robbed their exuberance, sapped their energy and vibrancy and left many broken.
But God who is the Creator, is able to make again or to make new; he promised in Joel 2:25 to restore broken dreams and lost passions, to transform sleepwalkers into the lifeforce of our communities and to restore everything we have lost.
Everything man created will fade away; great men and women will rise and fall, but everyone who trusts in the Lord will be restored to be better than they ever were – for the glory of God.
Father I thank you that in your son Jesus Christ is restoration for mankind. Lord as you restore me, my dreams, my passions and my energy, thank you for restoring my generation and giving us wings to mount up like eagles to challenge the issues of our time. Thank you for grace to stand with those who are weak. Amen.
