The Book Of John In Songಮಾದರಿ

John 12
A sweet fragrance fills the air as Mary pours out expensive perfume and wipes Jesus' feet with her hair. The beauty of the moment reaches out from the pages and asks to be noticed. It seems to invite us to wonder what provoked Mary to give all she had to bless Jesus.
Washing feet was servant’s work, pouring out a year’s wage was foolish, and unbinding one’s hair in public was undignified. It was as though she could not help but use everything at her disposal to love her Lord. When Judas complained, Jesus said, “Leave her alone. It was intended that she save this perfume for the day of my burial.” Jesus did NOT say, “It’s ok, Mary. Give the money to the poor. I’ll be alright.” To the contrary, He lets her love Him! He receives her worship!
Jesus understands that the best thing we can ever do with everything at our disposal is to love Him! We are blessed as we bless Him and filled as we are poured out.
PRAYER
Do my acts of love today become fragrant outpourings that bless you, Lord? How I want to give you my best worship and say thank you with everything at my disposal. Teach me, Jesus, how to love you like Mary. Amen.
