God, Help Me Raise Kind Kids!

DAY 4 OF 5

Kindness Ninjas To The Rescue

The type of love the Bible talks about is one of action! Love is not just kind words, but actions. There comes a time when talking about kindness and demonstrating it is not enough. Our kids are ready for the next step—ready to put knowledge into action.

Throughout the day, point out opportunities for your kids to show kindness. These opportunities can be spontaneous or planned. Some parents designate a “Kindness Day” to concentrate on the attribute of kindness. These acts of kindness don’t have to cost money. Simple acts of service go a long way to brighten someone's day and share the love of Christ.

Consider starting a “Kindness Club” where your kids become secret agents who spread kindness and smiles through their world. Perhaps “Kindness Ninjas” are more their style! As kids complete their missions, perhaps their mission will spread and new ninja recruits will join in.

Just imagine how kind the world would be if we all did one kind thing each day! Cory Schneider is a great example of the impact of kind words. They don’t cost any money, but their impact is life changing. Even though he attends a large high school, he knows thousands of names and greets everyone with a much-needed smile. You can watch his story here.

Suggested Prayer:

Father, give my children hearts of kindness. Create in them a desire to spread kindness as a way of showing God’s love to others. May they seek out children who need your love in their lives.

About this Plan

God, Help Me Raise Kind Kids!

Do you want to instill the attribute of kindness into your kids? It’s often difficult to model kindness to our children, so let’s discuss it. Over the next 5 days, we’ll study what the Bible says about kindness and pray together for our kids.
