God prepared the world for Jesus the Messiah right from the very beginning.  He made sure His world knew ahead of time that the Messiah was coming.  This is the first of three devotionals that give the prophetic pronouncements of the Messiah – and how they were fulfilled.  This devotional shows the prophecies of the lineage of Jesus starting from the garden of Eden right to Mary.

We start off Part Four of our Hebrews series with the third warning: Be careful not to fall away from Jesus. When we lose sight of Jesus and our relationship with Him, we can no longer access the greater life He gives and all that it brings. Jesus is the better Priest that gives us the better covenant. Without Him, we cannot live, walk and have access to God’s promises. 

“It’s better this way”… “You’ll be better off”… We’ve all heard these words of encouragement from people who love us, but we don’t always believe them to be true. As we explore the richness of Scripture, the author of Hebrews will remind us that Jesus not only exercises the Authority over our lives as King, but as our High Priest, He becomes the fulfillment of a better hope for Humanity.

Obtain is a verb - It implies action. So we are going to put some action into obtaining God’s truth and storing it in our hearts. How? Through reading God’s Word in daily nourishment portions. This study is a perfect way to begin to grow in your understanding of what you now have in Christ Jesus and renew your mind to become more like Him!

Jesus Christ has existed from eternity as God the Son. But He came to earth to make sinful people right with God again. His salvation work can be described in three key words: He is the ultimate Prophet, Priest and King — not just during His earthly ministry, but forever. Although the authorship of Hebrews is unclear, the message of the book could not be clearer: Jesus Christ is superior to all.
