Coffee after Drop-off?

“Coffee after drop-off?”

Hearing the phone ding in the morning chaos can add another irritation, but seeing a happy message instantly changes my attitude. A friend had no idea how much I needed the escape she offered in the early hours. Gathering with her at the local coffeehouse over a warm cup of conversation was precisely what my soul needed.

Have you ever found yourself in this place during the morning hustle five days a week? It begins to pile on, and life is so busy you forget to pause and unpack all the overwhelming things. The schedule pushes you into isolation when you need community.

Encouraging one another gives unspoken permission to lean on others. Often, we are scared to ask for help or say we need to talk. Offering an uplifting word or asking someone to talk gives freedom to bear the soul.

Don’t push away inviting a friend on a walk or grabbing a meal as a silly notion. This could be the Holy Spirit giving you a gentle nudge to encourage a friend or for you to invite a load-bearer into the trenches of your life.

Pray

Dear Lord, thank You for giving us friendship and reminding us of the importance of an encouraging word. Amen.
