Who Is God?គំរូ
God is faithful
If the Lord promises something, He will do it. A good example is God’s covenant with Abraham and his descendants, the Israelites. These people left God over and over again, but God remained faithful and kept his promises. He punished them for their rebellion, but did not leave them alone.
This God is still the same. His promises are still the same. They will never change. We can rely on him.
Since God is faithful, He asks us to be faithful as well. This concerns our relationship with the Lord. He wants our hearts, forever. It also concerns our relationships with other people. By being faithful, by doing what we say and being reliable, we show that we live close to God. In Matthew 23:23, Jesus mentions faithfulness as one of “the weightier matters of the law”, together with justice and mercy.
Do you build your life on God’s promises? And are you faithful towards him and the people around you?
