Hands to the Heavens

This is a song of surrender and invitation. Lifting up our hands in worship is an act of surrender to the Lord. This song helps to set a tone at the beginning of a worship service to remind us of what happens when His presence fills a room. It is powerful for us to declare truth, what we desire of the Lord, and to have an expectancy that His presence will come and be welcomed in our worship, whether personal or corporate.

There’s an amazing exchange that can happen in worship—heaviness and shame broken off, and His goodness, peace, and life rushing in. We worship a mighty God who comes to inhabit our praises. So “with our hands to the heavens, we wait for Your Presence,” And we will wait here every time, because He always comes.
