Week 4: Be a Man in Community

In our final week of this 'Man Up' Devotional Series, we will focus on being men of God by utilizing accountability and community. God’s word is clear: there’s power in numbers. We need others. Proverbs 27:17 puts is brilliantly – we are to encourage each other and make each other better. Ecclesiastes is also great – without community and friendship, we are lacking. Some men might think that needing people is weakness, but it’s exactly the opposite.

How much further can you go when you have a trusted friend by your side? Friendships like this don’t always just drop out of the sky. It takes effort and time to invest into a friendship – it’s hard, messy stuff; but it’s so worth it.

Practical Steps

1. Pray this morning that God would bring men into your life to fight life’s battles with.
2. If you already have a solid group of friends, pray that God would continue to guide that group in following Him.
