This section reflects on the humility and love Jesus displayed, especially in the context of His Last Supper with His disciples. They had no idea this would be their last meal with Him. They didn’t know, but John tells us that Jesus did. In the lead-up to His death, He knew that He was going to be betrayed soon.

I don't know exactly how much Jesus knew of the horrendous crucifixion before Him, but it is amazing to see what He decided to do before enduring it all—to display His great love for them one more time by stooping low to serve them. Despite being aware of His coming betrayal and suffering, Jesus chose to demonstrate His love by humbling Himself in this way.

The chapter also describes the differences between Judas' and Peter's betrayals. While Judas chose a path of betrayal and finality, coming from a place of darkness, Peter's denial was temporary—showing his human weakness—but was followed by repentance and restoration through Jesus. It's a beautiful reminder of God's grace and the importance of humility in our own lives. The overall message emphasizes both the inevitability of human sin and the possibility of redemption through repentance, with Jesus' actions illustrating ultimate love and service.
