Boundless Love. Jesus Offers Himself for the World.ნიმუში

Remaining in Jesus’ Love
“As the Father has loved Me, so have I loved you. Now remain in My love.” (John 15:9)
God the Father has perfectly loved the Son throughout all eternity (see John 17:24). Jesus says that the Father loves humans in the same way: “You sent Me and loved them even as You loved Me” (John 17:23). And then Jesus prays for His followers “that the love with which You [God the Father] have loved Me may be in them” (John 17:26).
Jesus’ words seem almost out of touch with reality. God’s love is so perfect and inexhaustible — should we not settle for love that resembles His to a certain extent, but is watered down to our abilities? No, Jesus does not give us that option. He tells us to “remain in His love”. We are called to keep our love for God fresh by remembering His great love for us. This love is what keeps us alive. This love is what makes life worth living. This love should define who we are and what we do.
The apostle Paul speaks about this in Ephesians 3:17-19. His desire is “that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.”
Is this your desire as well? How do you feed this desire?
