Day 1: The Love That Knows No Bounds

Scripture:
"For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life." – John 3:16 (NIV)

The depth of God’s love for us is unimaginable. In John 3:16, we are reminded of the radical nature of divine love: it is sacrificial, unconditional, and transformative. God didn’t send Jesus to die for a select few or for the righteous, but for the entire world—every person, every sinner, every broken heart. This is the kind of love that redefines our understanding of affection and care. It’s not a love that waits for us to be worthy of it. Rather, it’s a love that was given freely, knowing our flaws, failures, and mistakes.

Reflecting on this verse, we should ask ourselves: How often do we place conditions on our love? How can we extend God’s boundless love to others? Just as God’s love for us didn’t require us to meet a certain standard, we are called to love others in the same way. The love of Christ invites us to let go of judgment and to embrace others with the same grace and mercy that He has shown us.

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for Your boundless love. Your love for me is so great, so vast, that I cannot fully comprehend it. Thank You for sending Your Son to die for me, even when I was undeserving. Lord, help me reflect this kind of love in my relationships with others. Teach me to love unconditionally, with grace and compassion, just as You have loved me. May Your love be the foundation of everything I do. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
