Bring Your Broken Pieces (And Start New)

DAY 2 OF 7

Bring Your Addiction

Tracy could still see her children’s faces as she walked away from them all those years ago. Drugs had shut her body down, and years of silence stretched between her and her kids. Grandchildren came into the world, but her son said, “If you don't get your act together and get your life right, you will never know this baby. I will never let you meet her. I will never let you put your darkness into her." There was no room for debate.

Forty-two years of addiction. Forty-two years of pain. Forty-two years of tearing her family apart. She had lived for the high, but she had dragged her whole family down.

Then she took her addiction to the Lord, and everything changed. Now, she has been reunited with her family, including her daughter. Tracy is a real lady who had lost all hope, but when she gave those broken pieces to the Lord, the Lord restored her.

Today, I encourage you to bring your addiction to the Lord. You are not alone in what you are facing. Pray about what steps you can take today to give your addiction to the Lord. If you have never surrendered your life to the Lord, that is where you need to start. The gift of salvation from Jesus Christ is the most powerful thing in the world. He is so much stronger than your addiction. Through Him, there is no temptation that cannot be overcome.

About this Plan

Bring Your Broken Pieces (And Start New)

Does your life feel like a pile of broken pieces? Maybe it's addiction, sickness, depression, or trauma—you're surrounded by brokenness. That said, shattered pieces don't have to stay that way. Jesus is known for taking what we think is too far gone and turning it into a work of art. Read seven true stories of redemption and then use the tools you learn to start your process of healing. Plan based on the book, From These Broken Pieces: True Stories of Redemption by Katie Hauck Ministries.
