Day 1: LORDSHIP

Salvation begins with confessing that Jesus is Lord.

“If you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”

Throughout history, allegiance to a king was demonstrated by recognizing his authority and submitting to his lordship. In the same way, when we confess with our mouths that Jesus is Lord, we are acknowledging His Kingship and surrendering to His Lordship over every aspect of our lives.

“’ Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’

Lordship starts in the heart then to the soul and then the mind. Lordship is a heart condition. When we submit under the Lordship of Jesus, the Holy Spirit does a powerful work in our lives. He teaches us about loving God with everything we have, He teaches us how to submit our emotions and thoughts. He helps us give over everything to Jesus, where can confidently step aside and allow Jesus to take full control. Living under the Lordship of Jesus is not about following rules or checklists but it is about following Jesus and obeying His commandments.

Jesus rules and reigns over everything.

He has all authority, power and dominion over heaven and earth and when we confess that he is Lord, we acknowledge his sovereignty and authority over all creation.

Being under His Lordship extends to every area of our lives. He is Lord over our families, over our work, over finances, over sickness and disease and over every situation and circumstance that you might be facing right now, and will face in the future.

The victory we seek in our lives over fear, anxiety or guilt and shame, also comes through the Lordship of Jesus Christ. He is peace, and the fullness of joy found in Him is made alive in you when you walk in relationship with Him.

If you are in a place in your life where you want to accept Jesus as Lord, and you want to give over areas of your life to Him, you need to confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead and you will be saved.”

"So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in Him."
