THE DRIVER OF A PIONEER: VISION

Vision has become a bit of a buzzword in secular society. Everyone has a vision board, everyone has a list of daily affirmations, and everyone is trying to ‘manifest’ their futures. We have dwindled our vision down to self-health, self-growth, and self-care. But unfortunately, in this lies the problem with the vision we are told to create; everything revolves around self.

I don’t know about you, but I don’t want to have a vision that would just change my world; I want to have a vision that changes THE world. The truth is, this is possible but can only come when our vision doesn't revolve around ourselves but when our vision exists to serve others.

For a pioneer, it is vision that drives them. What they believe that God has called them to is the ‘petrol’ to their purpose. Vision is the thing that causes you to push through the pain, rise above your challenges, and face your giants. All because you can see the things that others can't.

In Proverbs 29, the Bible says, “Where there is no vision, the people perish”. I love how the King James Version words this scripture. In other words, people die when we have nothing to live for. Vision is the thing that gets you out of bed in the morning. Vision is the thing that makes you lose sleep at night. Vision is the thing that puts breath in your lungs and fire in your bones. Vision breathes life into your Spirit and wakes up destiny on the inside of you.

It has often been said that if your dream doesn't scare you, then it's not a God-sized dream. That is because the gap between your present reality and God’s expansive future for you is faith. Any dream that we can achieve on our own is nothing more than a good idea. If God’s ways are higher, and if His thoughts are higher, then His dreams are definitely bigger.

Our job is to find the God dream for our life. It is to wait on God, seek His face, and discover His plans and purposes for us. I have found that the best way to discover His will is to keep walking in His ways. The more I serve His house, the more I live like Jesus, the more I spend time with Him, I begin to discover the God destiny over my life. God then unfolds His plans and reveals His vision for me.

There is so much that God wants to do on the earth. There is also so much that He wants to do through you. God is looking for a generation that would dream big, that would believe for more and have faith for the impossible. It's time to dream again.
