Acknowledging the Wounds
Dear Sisters in Faith, did you know that in the army, as soldiers mature and take on new responsibilities, their headgear changes? Higher ranks come with caps, hats, or berets that not only represent achievements but also the responsibility to protect and lead those around them. In our spiritual journey, it is no different. God equips us, heals our wounds, and calls us to care for one another, assuming a role of love and protection.
Today, reflect on the wounds you might be carrying. Some may be visible, others hidden, but all need to be brought to the One who can heal them completely: our Heavenly Father. He doesn’t expect perfection but sincerity. Acknowledging that we are wounded is not a weakness but an act of courage. It is the first step to receiving God’s restoration. He promises to be close to the brokenhearted and to take care of every detail of our pain.
Now, think about the sisters in faith around you. God gives us the privilege of being instruments in His hands, helping to heal one another’s wounds. Perhaps you know someone who needs care, an encouraging word, or simply your presence.
As sisters, we are called to be “spiritual berets,” covering, protecting, and strengthening one another in love. Today, open your heart to God and ask Him to heal your wounds and enable you to care for the women around you. God wants to use you as a channel of restoration in someone’s life!
Reflection: What wound do you need to bring to God today? Which sister in faith needs your prayerful covering and care?
